Learn how to turn your fabric into a beautifully structured, quilted boxy zipper bag in this beginner-friendly sewing class! Perfect for quilters looking to expand their skills or new sewists eager to try a fun and practical project, this workshop covers every step from start to finish.
Students will learn to quilt their fabric, confidently insert an exposed zipper, and box the corners to create that classic, stylish shape! Students will leave with a completed project and skills they can use for endless future projects!
The bag's finished size is 9" x 6" x 5".
Needed Materials:
- Your Sewing Machine in good working Order
- 1 fat quarter outer fabric
- 1 fat quarter lining fabric
- 1 14-16" zipper
- Fusible Fleece: 14" x 21" (Batting or Craft foam can also be used)
- Thread to match the outer fabric
- Basic Sewing Supplies (Thread, Pins, Scissors)
- Standard Sewing Foot
Optional Materials:
- 1/4" foot
- Small Ruler: 2-1/2"
- Seam Roller
- Walking Foot
- Glue Stick
