Machine Rulerwork done on a Domestic Sewing Machine
When: May 22nd from 1 pm to 4 pm
Cost: $75 per person

This class will review different types of machine ruler quilting that can be done on your home sewing machine with the right tools. Diane will review the different type of machine feet and wide variety of rulers that are available on the market to help you quilt your quilts at home. You will be learning on your own sewing machine and will need to make sure your have the proper fitting ruler foot for your make and model well before class. Diane will bring a bunch of rulers and demonstrate how to use them and also let you try them out.

Supply list:
Sewing machine in good working order with new needle
Extension table if you have one for your machine
1/4” Ruler foot for your machine
Threads in different colors
Bobbins wound before class
Safety pins for basting
Several yards of solid fabric to be used to learn techniques
Craft or twin size batting or large batting scraps to layer your practice piece
Your mobile phone for pics
Pen and paper for note taking
Sharpie pen
Machinger quilting gloves

Bring any quilting rulers you may already own with you. We will discuss rulers at length and you will leave class with the ability to choose the right ruler for the type of quilting you desire for your quilts.
