If you were ever curious about digitizing and creating your own embroidery designs, this class is a great place to start. We will cover the following topics: different stitch types, their uses and properties, underlay stitches, how to import artwork, how to export to the correct file type for sewing, and stitch length and density. There will also be practice exercises so you can learn how to digitize and when to use certain stitch types. This course is meant to serve as an introduction to digitizing. I will be demonstrating using Wilcom's Hatch software. Everything learned in this course can be applied to other software such as Brother’s PE design or Embrilliance.

Students will receive these files: .pdf instructions, practice exercises, artwork samples, and stitch properties sew out files.

This class is for learning the basics of digitizing - it is not to learn a specific software.
