What is edge-to- edge (E2E) quilting?

Edge-to-edge designs feature a single thread color running continuously from one edge of the quilt to the other, covering the entire quilt body without regard to blocks, seams, or piecing designs. These digital patterns are computer-guided and can be resized to achieve the desired quilting density and scale.

Edge-to-edge quilting provides stunning all-over patterns, adding beautiful texture to the quilt's surface, with a variety of designs available such as vines, flowers, feathers, and geometric shapes.

Interested in learning more about the cost? Our BERNINA & Handi-quilter long-arm quilting machines can handle quilt tops up to 100 inches in width with no length restrictions. Edge-to-Edge quilting is priced at $.025 per square inch. To calculate your quilt top's square inches, multiply its length by its width. For instance, a 90” x 100” quilt top would be 9000 square inches, costing $225 at $.025 per square inch, with a minimum charge of $40.00.

The cost per inch includes thread, so batting is the only additional expense. We offer a selection of Quilters Dream Batting and provide recommendations during your consultation. Please ensure backing fabrics extend at least 4 inches beyond the quilt top on each side.

Ready to proceed? Just bring your quilt top to our East Hanover store, and our Long Arm Specialists will assist you in selecting the perfect design and thread.
