Please note the classroom in our East Hanover location is on the second floor and is only accessible via stairs. 

Supply List: 

  • Your Embroidery Machine with it's embroidery arm, hoop, and foot. 5" x 7" Hoop Size or larger is preferred. (4" x 4" hoop is acceptable, but projects will be smaller)
  • USB Stick
  • Applique Scissors
  • 75/11 Embroidery Needles
  • 60 wt. Black Embroidery Bobbin Thread
  • 40 wt. Embroidery Thread in the Following Colors: White, Black, Silver, Purple, Neon Green, Orange, Yellow, Brown, Light Brown, Light Gray, and Flesh
  • 1 Yard of Wash Away Stabilizer

Kits Include: 

  • Embroidery design/pattern files
  • .PDF instructions
  • All fabrics, ribbon, and backing. (Fabrics in kits may vary slightly from project photo due to availability.)

All kits exclude: wash away stabilizer, threads, bobbin, and 75/11 needles.

If you were ever curious about the endless possibilities your embroidery machine could create, this class is for you. Learn the following ITH (in-the-hoop) techniques: applique methods, using wash away (water soluble) stabilizers, attaching applique pieces, how to get clean edges on your applique, floating fabrics on the front and back of your hoop, working with ITH vinyl, pathing when digitizing in-the-hoop projects, best practices for glow in the dark thread, piecing multiple layers of fabric together with correct registration, how to finish ITH projects out of the hoop, and completing a project that requires multiple hoopings. When completed, this project measures approximately 8”w x 20”h (for a 5” x 7” hoop).

There is no guarantee that you will complete this project in class, however most students do. You will have instructions on how to complete it at home, along with a video tutorial if you cannot finish it in class.

Preferred hoop size: 5"x7" or larger (*4”x4” is acceptable; designs will be smaller)
